Many people who knew Mildred "Millie"
Benson have a "Millie Story" - I'm saving most of those for the book,
but there's also some great Millie quotes! I wanted to share some of
these with you all as I'm plugging through my research files and writing
my Biography on Millie Benson.
Millie: "I think that everything I did in my childhood had a terrific impact on what I did. I was given quite a bit of freedom. Although my mother tried to make me into a traditional person I resisted that. I was just born wanting to be myself and I couldn't see why girls couldn't do the same things that boys were allowed to do."
