In keeping with a vintage Nancy Drew and Clue theme, I am creating a "Rogue's Gallery" of our party suspects from the book The Clue of the Velvet Mask, book #30 in the classic Nancy Drew series from Penguin Random House. In the book there are six members of the Velvet Gang--a gang of thieves stealing valuables around River Heights at swanky parties. 3 women and 3 men, so totally apropos for a Clue game!
I wanted to whip up a "Suspects" banner to hang with the suspect portraits, so I used an old Nancy Drew book that was falling apart from The Secret in the Old Attic - another spooky Nancy Drew mystery. I printed out letters on cardstock and cut them out and with a glue stick, adhered them to the vintage book pages. With s special punch for creating banners, I punched the corners and then threaded through a thin black satin ribbon. It was a little plain, so I added some diecut skeletons to spook it up a bit. What a cool banner!!! Would love to have a Nancy Drew themed party one day and all of these are great!
