Nancy Drew Books: Scary Things Kids (& Adults) Do #4

Another eBay gem--and someone bid on it! I wonder if they thought the footprints were original to the cover?

I suppose the ink-stamped footprints all over the cover have an air of mystery about them ;) But what a way to deface a Nancy Drew book cover! Clever yet scary!

This book must have been the property of a fledgling altered book artist; maybe it once belonged to Beth Cote, altered art pioneer. I know it is considered a sacrilege to write in or on a book. It is just unthinkable to most of us. However, those of the artistic bent do feel that any media is fair game. I am guilty of embracing the concept, but I do limit it to non-collectable, mass produced books with no future value. You can type "altered art" in a computer search engine and just look at what you find.
