I'd like to see something more in line with the classic series, though not necessarily mere adaptations of them, maybe a sort of 'cases that we never got to see', with a bit of slice of life. I've always been curious what Nancy does with smaller mysteries (missing wallet, etc.) and how her life runs without an on going case (obviously she's not in High School, but other than going to Church what does she do regularly?). I'm also curious to see what would happen is one would let Nancy and her supporting characters do over normal things (you know, the town politics, people they know who do stupid things, and getting ready to be adults).I know Girl Detective attempted some of this, but it felt shallow after a while when nothing really moving forward in continuity. It would also be interesting to get a first person POV of Nancy very early in her career, not as a elementary school kid, but during her first few cases (Clock, Staircase,etc.). Also, I don't believe the classic series (as I'm assuming the Super Mysteries to be originally based off of), ever explain how Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys properly met, as they knew each other in 'Double Crossed'. Again the GD series did something simuliar to this idea, but I'd like to see how the classic universe would deal this out. ~ Matthias Smith

I love reading Nancy Drew even at age 50! I look forward to reading the graphic novels as well.

I think there's too much "mean girl" content in the ND graphic novels that I have read - take out the characters like Deirdre Shannon (or Brenda Carlton in the earlier incarnations).

I think I'd like to see less reliablity on technology. One of the things that helps make the older books more timeless is that Nancy didn't usually use her technology. Of course she would use the phone and other general things, but for the most part she just relied on her friends, and her intuition.

I'm a big fan of graphic novels because it gets kids reading and I'm all for anything that gets kids to read. My grown son is now an avid reader and he started with picture books, comic books, graphic novels, and now is reading Conan Doyle and Tolstoy. I am thrilled to have a complete set of the Agatha Christie graphic novels, so would love to have some Nancy Drew.

What about a series where Nancy loses her memory and ends up living in another town or state, not knowing who she is or what she does, and slowly she realises that she has a knack for finding things for people and she doesn't know why. You also get to see what else she does in a day and have her make some friends other than Bess and George. Let some of her original talents for painting, ballet, tap dancing, singing etc, remember all of her skills from the series, come though and have her do other things besides detecting! Nancy Drew,Girl Singer. Nancy Drew,Girl Tap Dancer. Nancy Drew,Girl Ballet Dancer. Nancy Drew, Girl Pilot. there's so many directions to go in.

Being a fan the Petrucha family graphic novel writing dynasty, I wouldn't mind daughters Margo and Maia turn in 6 page adventures/cliffhangers to continue the teen girl detective series and then, instead of so many Papercutz previews in back of these Clue Crew trades. They did fine work with their dad on some other Papercutz books. Now that would be some "gurl-power" to boost the series past the norm.

Best,

Jerel
